Hello to all our registered users,
Since 1985 the European Union designates one or more cities as a European
Capital of Culture for a period of one calendar year. In 2020 Ireland is
eligible to host the European Capital of Culture. The three counties of
Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford have come together to develop a regional
Bid to win the title of European Capital of Culture in 2020. Our Bid is an
opportunity to generate considerable cultural, social and economic benefits
for the region.
A series of public consultation meetings are being organised. This is an
opportunity to bring your ideas to the table. These meetings are scheduled
as follows:
18th March, 2015 Ormonde Hotel, Kilkenny 6.00 p.m.
19th March, 2015 The Large Room City Hall, The Mall, Waterford 6.00 p.m.
30th March, 2015 The Street, County Hall, Carricklawn, Wexford 6.00 p.m.
